A QUALITY AIMED CHALLENGER

Chemmariner shipping has been an ever-growing company since its establishment in 1998. Today Chemmariner Shipping is one of the most experienced and sophisticated parcel tanker operators in the market.

FOCUSED ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Chemical tanker management is becoming an increasingly complex and more rigorously regulated business.  In the chemical product transportation market, safety, technical and environmental factors impact more than ever the way tankers are designed, built and operated. Most of the rules and regulations governing the tanker industry have been drawn up in reaction to accidents involving the spillage or the potential  loss of cargo.  Chemmariner’s aim is to build and operate a young fleet of newly built and highly sophisticated chemical tankers, which maintains the standards of current rules and regulations in todays waters.

Chemmariner's newest build, the Lady M/T Violet departs on her maiden voyage.
From
star
t to finish, a sound principle and a conscious effort.

Chemmariner is pleased to announce the departure of Lady M/T Violet on her maiden voyage.
Leaving Istanbul, Turkey, Lady M/T Violet will make her way to load in Midia Romania, then continue her scheduled voyage to discharge in Ilichevsky-Ukraine.

The Lady M/T Violet is Chemmariner's most recently completed shipbuild. This vessel has benefitted from having Chemmariner's staff, not third party contractors work from start to finish on the new build on-site.  The companys policy to ship products in an environmentally friendly way is reinforced by beginning the Lady M/T Violet's first voyage using Castrol Marine, the worlds first biodegradable marine lubricant. After the first voyage of the Lady M/T Violet, all of
the Chemmariner fleet will now implement this high performance, environmentally friendly marine lubricant.
Lady M/T Violet employs many other high performance components to deliver cargo safely and efficiently.  In addition to using Castrol Marine the cargo tanks have been protected using MarineLine, the high performance anti-corrosive coating. The vessel is certified by the Bureau Veritas, and is compliant with all regulations currently in place.

Chemmariner continues to experience company growth, and intends to continue the steady expansion of their fleet. A strong and dependent company name within the chemical industry between 5,000 and 8000 dwt, Chemmariner builds and intends to continue building all vessels to the industry standards. Equally special attention is given to the maintenance of these vessels as well as up-to-date training provisions for the staff, both at sea and on the shoreside. An Intertanko as well as BV Member Chemmariner uses a concentrated management staff to oversee all aspects of chemical tanker management and new building processes. Chemmariner vessels are mainly trading in Europe (Black Sea, Mediterranean, ARA, Baltic), but are incidentally also trading West-African and cross Atlantic voyages as well. Currently holding COA's and voyage charters with companies such as  Exxon, BP, etc- all vessels can trade IMO II cargoes and are MarineLine coated offering the advantage to clients of efficient and environmentally sound means of transportation of cargo. From start to finish, Chemmariner begins and ends with the same standard of quality with sound principles used in an eco-friendly way.

Chemmariner implementing environmentally friendly solutions.

Chemmarriner currently operates a high performance fleet of five chemical tankers and also has a new building programme consisting of five tankers due for delivery from Turkish yards into 2010.

As part of their committment to transporting products in an environmentally friendly manner, they have implemented use of Castrol Marine on all vessels. Castrol Marine is claimed to be the world's first biodegradable marine lubricant which  is 10 times less toxic, and 100 per cent more biodegradable than conventional material, also exceeding U.S. Environmental Protect agency requirements.

Taking delivery in Belgium, M/T Alfatem took the first consignment in the world on board. Next, the Star 1 took consignment on board at Izmir, Turkey. Following that, the M/T Acacia, and M/T Lilac converted lubricants.

Currently, Lady M/T Violet, which is entering service September 2008 will take her maiden voyage implementing the environmentally sound practice from the very initial stages. The future new build tankers also plan to implement Castrol Marine- as one more way in which they can contribute to shipping products worldwide, keeping the environment in mind for the very beginning stage.
